My name is Sebastian Bauer, I am a self-taught artist from Poland, and I am pleased to share my artistic journey with you.

Since the age of 16, I have had the privilege of travelling across Europe with my family, visiting remarkable countries such as Italy, Spain, Greece, and Portugal during our summer holidays. As a young gay man, I gained valuable insights from men of diverse ethnicities and cultures, which deeply inspired my artistic pursuits.

When in my late 30s, I committed to taking my art more seriously. I initially found it challenging to capture the intricate expressions of the human figure and facial expressions. It led me to sketch a lot in sketching books rather than paint on canvas.

However, I embraced this challenge by starting with smaller acrylic paintings, and with each stroke, my confidence blossomed, enabling me to take on larger projects. The sale of my first gay-couple painting, "Goodbye," in 2019, was a pivotal moment that encouraged me to embrace risks in my work.

"Goodbye"

Today, I derive great satisfaction from painting men of various ethnicities and ages, each imbued with their own stories and emotions.
